Dr. Seth Lueders, DC, your San Jose chiropractor, would like to personally welcome you to his practice, Lueders Chiropractic Center. Dr. Lueders was born in central Connecticut, in a small town of about 20,000 people; it was there that he had his first experience with chiropractic care. His father was receiving care for a lower-back problem when the Doctor mentioned the importance of children getting their spines evaluated for misalignments. Incidentally, soon after, Dr. Seth Lueders, DC, remembered waking up one day with a wicked stiff neck! So he had his first adjustment. Wow! The pain was gone almost immediately! That made a huge impression on him.
You see, Dr. Seth Lueders, DC, was the kid who was extremely interested in nature, science, and the human body — in other words, how things work. Plus, he was the youngest son of a man who was accepted into Harvard Medical School, a man who regularly told him that he would be a “good doctor one day.” Dr. Lueders’s experience with the chiropractor, coupled with his innate interest in science and the body — not to mention his father’s encouragement and advice — coalesced into his decision to pursue chiropractic as a career. Dr. Seth Lueders, DC, wanted to help people truly enjoy good health — naturally, and without drugs and surgery.
Dr. Lueders has been in active professional practice for more than 22 years, graduating from Life Chiropractic College in 1987. He attended West Virginia University and California State University, Hayward, completing his undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences. Prior to opening, Lueders Chiropractic Center, Dr. Seth Lueders, DC, was practicing in Watsonville and Salinas, serving the largely Spanish-speaking, agricultural workers injured at work. He is fluent in Spanish.
In 2008, Dr. Lueders joined the AMC Family of Chiropractors whose primary effort is to expand the reach of quality chiropractic care by educating patients about the principles of true health and wellness, and by motivating each patient to take personal responsibility for their health. He has been honored to receive awards from AMC for his commitment to excellence and dedication to the advancement of chiropractic.
Dr. Lueders’s wife of more than 23 years, Maurene, directs the daily operations of Lueders Chiropractic Center. In addition to her work at Lueders Chiropractic Center, Maurene was also the Office Director for a successful practice in Foster City, with skills in insurance relations and billing. Dr. Lueders and his family are South San Jose residents and are active in Venture Christian Church. He has been an avid runner for more than 35 years, and his hobbies include hiking, fishing, reading , grape-growing, gardening, taking their two dogs on long walks, music, attending local activities such as arts festivals, museums, and many of the diverse activities that the Bay Area provides.
Lueders Chiropractic Center, in its original manifestation, was owned by Dr. David Munson, DC, who treated thousands of patients for 40 years prior to retiring in June 2006. He handpicked Dr. Lueders to succeed him and gave Dr. Lueders a strong vote of confidence by entrusting his patients’ care with him.
Dr. Lueders has past experience in the communities where he has lived and worked — Salvation Army of East Contra Costa County, Kiwanis of Foster City (past President), and his local church membership, where he and his wife have been teachers for several years. Dr. Lueders is also a charter member of the Almaden chapter of LeTip International. He recognizes the importance of serving in the community where he lives and works, outside of Lueders Chiropractic Center, in his ongoing effort to make a positive difference in the lives of the people he meets.
